Booking the right DJ for a party is a crucial thing, you need to make sure your DJ is good, and that they have all their certificates. i.e. PLI & PAT

PLI - Public Liability Insurance. This is a standard right now. If a DJ does not have this, you should question why?

PAT - Portable Appliance Testing certificate. This is to ensure your safety, your guests and the DJ himself. All electrical equipment should be tested to see if its safe.
